French startup integrates the retailer's group after its acceleration program

Today, venteprivée group announces the acquisition of daco, a French start-up who puts artificial intelligence at the service of retail, member of the second vente-privée Impulse promotion, the vente-privée program of accelerationwithin Station F.

Founded in 2016 by a team of former strategy consultants and data specialists, Anis Gandoura, Paul Mouginot and Claire Bretton, daco is a French startup offering a 360° view of the competitive environment of brands and distributors in fashion. Based on advanced image recognition technologies (using artificial intelligence and deep-learning), daco‘s solution automatically categorizes tens of millions of products in hundreds of detailed categories, and achieves extensive analysis of the assortments.

In two years of existence and without fundraising, daco has become a key player in Retail. Thanks to strong links forged with the fashion industry (Federation of Ready to Wear, Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, DEFI, French Fashion Institute, finalist of the ANDAM Innovation Award 2018) the young company was able to build a product adapted to the challenges of the industry.

“These links were notably accelerated by collaborating with the DEFI, which fulfills its mission of support and enhancement of the French clothing sector. Indeed, through strong intellectual exchanges, the DEFI allowed us to publish on its blog […], we also participated in the Traffic Fair supported by the DEFI, which improved our visibility within the ecosystem Fashion Tech. DEFI also supports the prestigious ANDAM Award, for which daco was a finalist in the Innovation Award category. Incubated in the second vente-privée Impulse promotion, the vente-privée acceleration program at Station F, the young company has taken advantage of its acceleration period and demonstrated synergies with the group. Installed at Station F, daco continuously improves its technologies by leveraging the latest scientific and mathematical publications, which has earned several awards, including the Nvidia x ReWork AI award in 2018.
