Neclumi, an inspiration for the future of jewellery

The young panGenerator interdisciplinary new Media Design & Art Group, compounded of young Polish artists, tried to imagine the future of jewellery. Thanks to a smartphone app and a pico projector stuck to the wearer’s chest thanks to an HDMI cable, the interactive necklace projects itself on the wearer’s neck.

“We’re posing a question if we’re willing to abandon atoms of gold for the waves of light?” ask the designers on their website.

Still at the state of prototype (and so still not crazy in terms of design) the necklace projects an image that evolves depending on the wearer’s movements, the noise or the wearer’s steps speed thanks to the gyroscope, the accelerometer, podometer or microphone of one’s smartphone.
